29 weeks

Exhaustion

So there isn't much to report these days...aside from being pretty tired by the end of the day, i'm feeling pretty good. I'm getting pretty anxious to meet this little person! Especially since so many people around me are due within weeks! I'm so jealous that most of them know what they are having already - as much as I always knew I wanted to wait, (and still do), it's definitely driving me crazy to not know if there's a boy or a girl in there. We do have another opportunity to find out at our next US in a couple weeks but we're going to stay strong! I really do want to wait until that big moment...but next time, we'll take advantage of modern technology and find out ASAP! So far, 4 people we know are having a girl, and 4 people are having boys. Brian and I are constantly guessing what ours will be but we change our minds every day! At least I do...Bri still thinks boy. I used to think that as well but lately, I'm starting to second guess myself.

I'll be 30 weeks on Sunday - that's also the day of my baby shower. I'm so excited! I've always liked going to baby showers, hard to believe this is one is for us. My fam and Brian's have put a lot of hard work and time into planning and I'm sure it will be great! I have monday off from work so I'm psyched to be able to wash everything and put the room together. I'll post pics when I finish!

I love going to the doctor!

Going to the OB is so much fun for me...is that weird?? Notice I said the "OB" not the "gyno"...same guy, totally different experience I'm learning :) I get so much fun info when I go visit him - the baby's heart rate was in the 140s this time, I'm measuring 28 1/2 weeks (i'm 27 weeks) but b/c I'm short (the doctor tried to say it differently but that's pretty much what he meant) I'll always measure ahead b/c i'm more likely to grow out since there's not much else for the baby to go. My blood pressure was 102/60 and I didn't gain any weight since the last appt :) all good stuff! He said the baby will start growing about 1/2 lb a week for a few weeks then eventually 1 lb a week after that. I go back in three weeks instead of four which is exciting! I asked him about all the flu shots and he told me to get both of them so that's on my list of things to do. I've been feeling ok...by the end of the day my back hurts pretty bad. Not my lower back though like more normal pregnant people, it's all in my upper back. Last night i couldn't lay or sit on the couch. I just ended up going to bed so that I could just fall asleep so i wouldn't feel the pain. I think I'd rather an injection every night than that back pain. SO uncomfortable. But I could have it a lot worse so I really shouldn't complain. The baby is moving more now which is awesome...even though it wakes me up and keeps me up at night...just prepping me i guess. It's all good :)
