Payton Rose Osterhout

Payton Rose Osterhout has arrived! Born on January 4th at 11:11 am, weighing in at 8lbs 1oz and measuring 20 inches long. She's perfect :) After 30 hours of contractions, and 3 hours of pushing, she finally graced us with her presence...if that's any indication of her personality, we may have our hands full! Payton is now two weeks old and has had a very busy life so far. After fighting jaundice in the hospital, we finally came home after spending four nights in the hospital. During those four days she had many visitors - lots of family and friends, she's a very loved little girl! We came home on Thursday Jan 7th...it was great to be home and get settled in. Her first weekend home was a very busy one, everyone wanted to come see her, can't blame them - she's pretty cute! It's bad to say I can't even really remember how our first nights went, it seems like so long ago. She's a good baby though, can't complain. Our first full week home went really well - Brian was still home from work so we really enjoyed just hanging out and getting to know her. We had a few visitors here and there, just enough to keep us from getting bored :) The weekend was another busy one. Payton made her first hour long car trip to Granby to visit Brian's fam. Not only did she meet her Great grandparents, but she was also lucky enough to meet Uncle Jeff, Aunt Ginnie, Aunt Sue, cousins Katie, John, Beth, Chris, Samantha and her future partner in crime, Matthew! She was a very good girl, barely made a peep as she got passed from person to person. We had a great afternoon! She also got spoiled a little bit with lots of presents - did I mention how lucky this little babe is?? We left Granby for New Britain to meet some more new family members. Uncle Jim and Aunt Pam came down from Maine to meet little Miss Payton - I thought she would be a little cranky after her busy day but she was a trooper! Only waking up to eat then passing right back out. To be continued, the princess is awake...
