And the news keeps getting better!

So today I went to the new orthodontist with all of my xrays and the ceramic model of my mouth from my previous ortho. He was awesome, once again. He reiterated the fact that surgery would be a bad idea. He added some more reasons to his original ones, such as, my face looking "fake" afterwards, the skin not falling the right way, and the fact that it's not even guaranteed. I told him how much I paid for my previous mouthguard, not only did he tell me I overpaid (a lot!) he said that it wasn't helping my jaw, it was in fact making it worse. SWEET. he also told me he's going to charge me half the price the last guy was going to charge me for braces. I go next week to get my mouth guard fixed into something that will actually help my jaw, and then I get my botton braces on. yikes. he said he's going to give me the clearest braces possible so thats good. I'm so bummed that I didn't know he was an orthodontist last year at this time. I would have saved so much time, money, and would have been half way done with the braces thing. Live and learn I suppose. Lesson - always get a second opinion!!!
